Debbie Schlussel posts the story of Tareq Salahi's ties to radical Islam (through his board membership of American Task Force on Palestine)- a story that the New York Times first reported and then deleted.

If it was not already clear, this story reminds us that The New York Times and the rest of the MSM/DNC will not only fail to report Islamic terrorist connections (even when those connections place the President in potential danger) they will actively hide and delete all references and facts that might reveal the truth.

Of course, the President was in no real danger, as the Islamic extremists have no intention of harming their greatest ally.

In 2008 The George Washington University Homeland Security Institute (HSPI) initiated a transition task force to help craft homeland security policies during Obama’s transition period. In May of 2009 HSPI finished its report titled, “Thinking Anew-Security Priorities for the Next Administration.” One of the members of this Obama transition project was none other than the Muslim murderer Nidal Hassan.

So while the Homeland Security Department was targeting the alleged "right wing," a future mass murdering muslim jihadist was helping to advise the administration on homeland security policies.

Nidal Malik Hasan now joins the ranks of Bill Ayers, Bernardine Dohrn and other terrorist advisers to President Obama.

Stoning in Somolia; Sharia; 13 year old rape victim.

This kind of thing won't stop just because we may pretend that we are no longer at war:

A young woman recently stoned to death in Somalia first pleaded for her life, a witness has told the BBC.

"Don't kill me, don't kill me," she said, according to the man who wanted to remain anonymous. A few minutes later, more than 50 men threw stones.

Human rights group Amnesty International says the victim was a 13-year-old girl who had been raped.

If we decide that we are no longer at war and can appease our enemies with "talks," the stonings will continue and sharia will continue to spread.

When the family tried to report the rape, the girl was accused of adultery and detained, Amnesty said.

But a witness who spoke to the BBC's Today programme said she had been crying and had to be forced into a hole before the stoning, reported to have taken place in a football stadium.

"More than 1,000 people arrived there," he said. . . .

"After two hours, the Islamic administration in Kismayo brought the lady to the place and when she came out she said: 'What do you want from me?'"

"They said: 'We will do what Allah has instructed us'. She said: 'I'm not going, I'm not going. Don't kill me, don't kill me.'

"A few minutes later more than 50 men tried to stone her."

But no-one tried to stop the Islamist officials, who were armed, the witness said. He said one boy was shot in the confusion.

According to Amnesty International, nurses were sent to check during the stoning whether the victim was still alive. They removed her from the ground and declared that she was, before she was replaced so the stoning could continue.

The port of Kismayo was seized in August by a coalition of forces loyal to rebel leader Hassan Turki, and al-Shabab, the country's main radical Islamist insurgent organisation.

Mr Turki is on the US list of "financers of terrorism".

Will we still even bother to maintain this list after today? Or will the list, instead, be turned over to the DNC campaign finance committee?

Meanwhile, Islamic immigration into the U.S. will continue unabated. But back to our story:

It was the first reported execution by stoning in the southern port city since Islamist insurgents captured it.

The BBC had a reporter in the area, but he was shot dead in Kismayo in June.

In Part III of this maligned documentary, Ferguson explodes myths and explores little known facts about the Cold War.

• Ferguson reveals that JFK's seeming success in the Cuban missile crisis was not such a success after all. JFK agreed to withdraw U.S. missiles from Turkey in exchange for Kruschev's withdrawal of missiles from Cuba. (Conservatives have known this for decades, but nobody has ever paid attention before.) Ferguson further reveals that Kennedy wanted this deal to remain secret.
• The documentary mentions the Guatemalan coup of 1954, in which the Soviet puppet government was removed. Ferguson shows some film in which evidence of the regime's Soviet ties was revealed.
• Ferguson downplays the role of Nixon's Chinese diplomacy, stressing that U.S. efforts to court China resulted in the growth of China as a superpower (including China's role in backing the Kmehr Rouge in Cambodia and the subsequent killing fields).
• In discussing Soviet recruitment in the third world, the documentary refers to "third world Lenins" that followed the Soviet lead - while showing film of dictators like Saddam Hussein and Qaddafi.
  

Ferguson repeated the usual obligatory moonbattery about CIA backed regimes in South America killing thousands of their citizens and he downplayed the role of Reagan and Thatcher in winning the cold war against the Soviet Union. Ferguson's theory credits (who else?) Gorbachev. This is to be expected from almost any PBS documentary. But he adds much that the left in this country would not like. Any history that confirms old conservative Cold War theories can't be all bad.

Ferguson also discusses the Bosnian civil war from the early 1990's. But he fails to credit the centuries old influence of Islam in this long suppressed struggle.

Ferguson attributes the 20th century War of the World to economic conditions and ethnic strife occurring on the fault lines of competing or declining empires. He references Poland, Cambodia and Bosnia as examples where these conditions led to some of the worst such violence of the century. He then points to the modern day middle east as an example in which history may repeat itself.

In fact, the Islamic world meets most of Ferguson's criteria. If we think of the Islamic world as an expanding empire and substitute religion for ethnicity, we have the recipe for a repeat of the worst slaughter of the 20th century. Everywhere Islam borders another religion [India, the former Soviet Union, Africa, Israel, Kosovo], brutal war exists. Ferguson missed this point.

As he did in Parts I and II, Ferguson lumped Hitler, Stalin and Mao into one group. This treatment contrasts with the MSM/DNC, who spent more than half a century trying to place their ideologies on the opposite ends of the political spectrum (with Reagan always a little closer to Hitler while we never quite heard who the leftist politicians were close to). We must think of totalitarianism like Ferguson instead of simply using one form of it (Nazism) as a handbag to swing at Republicans.

Ferguson's perspective contained the obvious, obligatory anti-Americanism, but that may have been simply the price Ferguson paid for the documentary to see the light of day. The documentary is worthwhile if one already has some knowledge of the 20th century and can place the relevant facts into context. If one can remember how the MSM/DNC tried to deny vigorously some of the facts set forth by Ferguson (even where he misinterprets those facts), one can benefit from this documentary.

Khartoum; Charlton Heston; Mahdi; Laurence Olivier

While I have much to say on the death of Charlton Heston yesterday, this post will focus on what I consider to be his best movie.

Watching the video montages on network television this morning, I noted that little attention was paid to Heston's 1966 movie "Khartoum." The mini-bios focused mainly on Ben-Hur and the Ten Commandments.



For those that have never seen "Khartoum," buy or rent it. I won't provide a full review here, but the movie provides insight into Islam and the nature of the enemy that we face. The action takes place in the 1870's (generations before George W. Bush would illegally seize office, turn the entire Muslim world against the U.S. and destroy New Orleans with a hurricane). The most important part of the plot focuses on Laurence Olivier's portrayal of the "Mahdi" - the mythic Shia moslem figure that will one day appear and wreak vengeance ("justice") upon the non-moslem world.

As the climax approached, Olivier's Mahdi discussed his plans with Heston's General Gordon. The Mahdi revealed his desire to wreak havoc throughout the mideast and beyond. The Mahdi's desire to sack, pillage and dominate Khartoum was only a stepping stone. It was truly chilling to hear the Mahdi discuss this as he guided General Gordon's hand into buckets of water containing the severed heads of Gordon's allies. [While the movie is as violent as any mid-1960's war movie, the movie is tastefully done and does not contain gore. It is far less violent than your average modern Jihadi beheading video from Al Jazeera.]

Any movie with a serious discussion of the concept of the Mahdi is worth seeing - especially in light of the influence that this concept holds over the Iranian government and its plans to use the nuclear arsenal that it now prepares to build.

For the moonbats who might be reading this, Khartoum is a city in Sudan. Sudan is the country that also contains Darfur - where muslims have killed millions of Christians in modern years. Darfur is the place that you want Bush to send our troops after they have been withdrawn from Iraq.

If nothing else, the movie should remind audiences that the trouble with Islam began long before the U.S. led coalition invaded Iraq.

Kosovo; the Mufti; 1389 A.D.; Tito; Milosevic; a primer on Kosovar jihad.

Blonde Sagacity has posted a few questions about Kosovo's new independence. I made a few comments at her blog which I liked so much, I repeat them here. This post is a primer on the history of the Kosovo conflict and how it fits into global jihad.

The area that is now Bosnia, Kosovo, Serbia etc. was invaded and conquered by the Moslems in the 14th century. Many of the residents were forcibly converted to Islam (much like the former Christian countries of Syria, Egypt and Turkey and the formerly Hindu region of India that is now Pakistan).

Some of the moslem portions of Yugoslavia were allied with the Nazis during WWII, as evidenced by photos of Arafat's uncle reviewing SS troops in Bosnia. When the former Yugoslavia broke up after the death of Tito in the 1980's, the moslem majorities in Kosovo began persecuting the Christian minorities (kind of like Sudan, Lebanon, northern India (now Pakistan) in the 1940's, etc.).

This was another example of Islam pushing its borders outward from the middle east and into Europe. Al Qaeda assisted the Kosovar muslims during our involvement in 1999. We were, de facto, allied with Al Qaeda (and other moslems) in that war. Now we have another moslem country in Europe. The MSM/DNC refuses to explain this conflict in terms of the jihadi implications for all of Europe. Kosovo is now one more launching pad for Islam into Europe as Europe moves toward "Eurabia."

As you can see, this problem predates Slobodan Milosevic by about 600 years. The MSM has distracted us from the jihadi threat by focusing on a modern individual - much like they distract us from the War on Terror by demonizing BushCheneyHalliburtonDiebold. If you get lost in the trees, you will never see the jihadi forest. Look at any map of the middle east and the surrounding regions. You will see jihad and islam spreading into southern Russia, Europe, Africa, Asia, the Indian and Pacific Oceans, etc. In each of those places, one can find "bad" people that stand in the jihadis' way and who can be demonized so that we never see the forest.

In 1999, I fully supported the war - not knowing that Kosovo was only a small part of a global problem that had been growing since 600 A.D. Ever since 2001, I have stopped thinking that way.

Islam's European expansion continues from its Kosovar foothold.

It was predictable that the Kosovo war would not be resolved merely because Bill Clinton declared victory 9 years ago, a declaration that was accepted by a compliant MSM/DNC. As you may recall, Kosovo was the war in which U.S. troops were sent by President Clinton to fight on the same side as Al Qaeda so that muslims could retain control of a patch of Europe. Even though we "won" the war, the fate of Kosovo (and much of the surrounding region) remains in doubt, as the following Washington Times' commentary on the Serbian election points out:

"Resolving Kosovo's final status" has been an intentionally vague diplomatic phrase for the process of determining if Kosovo will become a separate nation, remain part of Serbia or linger as a U.N.-EU-NATO protectorate. Serbs, other Balkan Slavs and a few Greeks fear a fourth possibility: an independent Kosovo will encourage Albanian ethnic radicals who dream of Greater Albania. After taking Kosovo, irredentist Albanian zealots will demand slices of Montenegro, Macedonia, Greece's Epirus Province and Serbia's Presevo Valley.

The latest leftist meme - Al Qaeda is not Al Qaeda; Abd Al Hadi; Al Zarqawi

The MSM/DNC has found a new meme.

President Bush has finally begun making clear arguments as to why we must continue the fight in Iraq against Al Qaeda. It is not merely so that we can "support the troops" or build democracy in Iraq or prevent a bloodbath or build stability in the middle east. The reason we must fight in Iraq is that we are fighting Al Qaeda:

"The facts are that Al Qaeda terrorists killed Americans on 9/11, they’re fighting us in Iraq and across the world and they are plotting to kill Americans here at home again. Those who justify withdrawing our troops from Iraq by denying the threat of Al Qaeda in Iraq and its ties to Osama bin Laden ignore the clear consequences of such a retreat."

Until President Bush began making that argument, the MSM/DNC was able to distract the American public with such irrelevancies as:

• The Plame affair;
• our inability to find many of Saddam's weapons;
• Cindy Sheehan;
• Halliburton;
• John Murtha's war record;
• the fact that Saddam and Osama bin Laden were two different people;
• Abu Graib;
• misrepresentations regarding Guantanamo;
• the election of 2000;
• Hurricane Katrina;
• The 9-11 Commission

[While some of these items have their own relevance, none of them justify retreat from Al Qaeda. For example, Katrina justifies a retreat from the swamp that is New Orleans, not a retreat from Al Qaeda or from Iraq.]

All of these stories attained "meme" status and helped the MSM/DNC make us forget that Al Qaeda attacked the U.S. on September 11, 2001, destroyed lower manhattan and is being dismembered by U.S. forces around the world, including in Iraq. A steady diet of Plame/Sheehan/torture/Katrina/Halliburton/"selected not elected" stories for the past six years has allowed this country to forget that it is at war and who the enemy is.

President Bush has done the right thing by refocusing the issue on Al Qaeda. American forces have killed Al Qaeda leaders in Iraq and delayed Al Qaeda plans for worldwide jihad. We have known since 9-11 that we would have to destroy the Al Qaeda worldwide network. Such destruction will be expensive, bloody and time consuming. We have always known this. The only real question is what is the best way to accomplish this goal. Questions about who outed the non-spy Plame or the menu at Guantanamo or how many more Florida recounts we need to make Al Gore President, etc. distract from the war and accomplish nothing else.

By refocusing on Al Qaeda, President Bush has forced MSM/DNC to do the same. The MSM/DNC has responded with a new meme. They have desparately tried to differentiate Al Qaeda from "Al Qaeda in Iraq."

A recent Today show episode featured interviews with U.S. politicians that denigrated the Iraqi government, while the label beneath the visual image asked "Will Al Qaeda move into Iraq?" The implication being that Al Qaeda is not already there. The New York Times article that quotes President Bush is entitled "President Links Qaeda of Iraq to Qaeda of 9/11." The Times seek to prove, by mere implication, that these are somehow different groups that the President is trying to "link". The MSM/DNC will eventually employ the old leftist cold war tactic of refusing to acknowledge one's membership in an organization unless a membership card can be produced. Al Qaeda members are not likely to carry cards or other official proof of membership.

[The MSM/DNC spent a tremendous effort downplaying the D.C. snipers in 2002 once it became obvious that they were Islamists with sympathies for Al Qaeda instead of white rednecks. The MSM/DNC further made tremendous efforts to ignore the Islamic implications of the phrase "Ismail Ax" on the Virginia Tech shooter's body, despite providing painful details of every other aspect of the shooting. But denying that Al Qaeda is Al Qaeda is a new low for the MSM/DNC.]

While the MSM/DNC has argued that Al Qaeda was not in Iraq before we removed Saddam, such argument is false. In reviewing my tapes of the invasion from 2003, I noted that American forces destroyed an Al Qaeda base in Iraq on or about March 29th, 2003 (during the invasion). I have no further details because the NBC scrolling marquee was very vague. On April 1, 2003, the ABC scrolling marquee noted that a terrorist base was captured with "Al Qaeda manuals" and chemical weapons manuals. I do not know if those stories referred to the same bases. The MSM/DNC felt it was more important to cover other aspects of the war, such as Jessica Lynch or anti-war protests in the U.S. [To the MSM/DNC's credit, it did provide a great deal of coverage of major battlefield movements.]

Even if Al Qaeda did not occupy Iraq until after we removed Saddam, so what? Where would you rather fight Al Qaeda, in the mountains of Pakistan or in the flat lands of Iraq? The terrain of Afghanistan contributed to the downfall of the Soviet Union in the 1980's. By contrast, we have drawn Al Qaeda into the open by fighting them in Iraq. As long as we kill their members and leaders in Iraq, those members can not be used by Islam in the global war. If the U.S. has drawn Al Qaeda into Iraq, then President Bush is to be commended for that reason alone.

My biggest concern in the immediate aftermath of 9-11 was the mountainous terrain of Afghanistan. The Afghan mountains dwarf those mountains even in the Western U.S. A Soviet style Afghanistan war, with no other fronts, was not an option. But an air war to liberate Afghanistan followed by a lengthy occupation of Iraq, in which Al Qaeda loses leader after leader while Al Qaeda soldiers die and the Iraqi army gains strength and experience is a far different matter. Four years after the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan, Soviet losses amounted to five times the current level of U.S. casualties in Iraq. Fighting Al Qaeda in Baghdad is clearly a better option than fighting Al Qaeda in the caves of the Afghanistan-Pakistan border.

The only other option is to refrain from fighting Al Qaeda at all. That option would allow 9-11 to go unpunished. That option would invite more 9-11's. That clearly is the option we face if we withdraw from Iraq, either in September or at any time in the next few years. Should an Iraqi withdrawal take place, we would soon forget that 9-11 ever happened while we concentrated on socializing medicine and turning the U.S. into another version of the European countries that face rapid decline.

While this fate would not appeal to most Americans, it is a virtual utopia for the MSM/DNC. MSM/DNC cannot achieve its utopia unless it forces American capitulation in the war. Capitulation means, among other things, pullout from Iraq now before we kill more Al Qaeda. MSM/DNC cannot force a pullout unless it creates the impression that Al Qaeda is somehow different from "Al Qaeda in Iraq."

To counter this meme, we must remember the following:

1) Al Qaeda attacked America and destroyed lower Manhattan on 9-11;
2) We fight Al Qaeda now in Iraq.

Now that America is on the verge of hearing the story expressed that simply, MSM/DNC is forced to separate #1 and #2. MSM/DNC has tried to separate those two items with irrelevant nonsense for the past four years, but now that President Bush is explicitly linking them together, MSM/DNC is forced to meet Bush' arguments with explicit denials instead of white noise. MSM/DNC always has a problem when it is forced to be explicit.

We should repeat points ## 1 and 2 at every opportunity.

Bob Casey votes to deny protection to anti-terror whistleblowers; I am John Doe

The Senate has voted to kill a measure designed to protect those that report suspicious activity aboard public transportation and elsewhere. The measure was proposed after 6 muslims filed suit following their own suspicious activity in Minnesota (described by Doug Ross):

According to police reports, the imams were asked to deplane a US Airways flight in November after reportedly requesting seat-belt extenders; invoking the words "Bin Laden", "Saddam Hussein", and "terrorism"; shouting "prayers"; and generally acting in a disturbing and suspicious manner. Three of the six had one-way tickets and between all six, only one checked a bag. Once seated, they spread out in the plane in a pattern similar to the 9-11 hijackers. Two sat in the front, two in the middle, and two in the back.
The imams, backed by CAIR, subsequently sued US Airways, passengers, and crew who had reported their activity. The lawsuit against the "John Does" was apparently intended to "discourage passengers from reporting suspicious activity in the future."

What is going on inside the Democratic party that its members are so united against protecting the American people from another terrorist attack? And as I noted in an earlier post, they are completely committed to this even after an intelligence report said that al Qaeda is working harder than ever to get their operatives into this country to commit terrorist acts.

If you check the roll call, you will see that those Senators with 2008 aspirations either voted for the measure or abstained. That includes Senator Clinton. Even Senators Schumer and Specter voted for this measure. Many red state Democrats voted for this measure. But Bob Casey opposed it.

What am I voting on, again?







When this bill was first proposed, I noted that if we let CAIR silence those who would speak out, we are endangering innocent people in buildings. The people who leaped to their death from the WTC had no idea that Mohammed Atta and his gang of Muslims had boarded a plane unopposed an hour or so earlier.

Silence has consequences.

Khaled Abdul-Fattah Dawoud Mahmoud al-Mashhadani, a/k/a Abu Shahid; another Al Qaeda leader captured in Iraq

American forces have captured another Al Qaeda leader in Iraq. [Leftists stopped reading this post as soon as they saw the name "Al Qaeda."] That makes one more Al Qaeda leader that would still be fighting and plotting terror against the U.S. if we had pulled out of Iraq a few months ago (or never invaded in the first place).

The article from AP contained few details:

Khaled Abdul-Fattah Dawoud Mahmoud al-Mashhadani, also known as Abu Shahid, was captured in Mosul on July 4, said Brig. Gen. Kevin Bergner, a military spokesman.

"Al-Mashhadani is believed to be the most senior Iraqi in the al-Qaida in Iraq network," Bergner said. He said al-Mashhadani was a close associate of Abu Ayub al-Masri, the Egyptian-born head of al-Qaida in Iraq.

Bergner said al-Mashhadani served as an intermediary between al-Masri and Osama bin Laden and al-Qaida No. 2 Ayman al-Zawahri.

"In fact, communication between the senior al-Qaida leadership and al-Masri frequently went through al-Mashhadani," Bergner said.

"Along with al-Masri, al-Mashhadani co-founded a virtual organization in cyberspace called the Islamic State of Iraq in 2006," Bergner said. "The Islamic State of Iraq is the latest efforts by al-Qaida to market itself and its goal of imposing a Taliban-like state on the Iraqi people."

Dr. Adam Gorin, Washington Post dhimmitude

Debbie Schlussel posts the story of the Washington Post rejecting an ad for the new book, "Jihad and American Medicine: Thinking Like a Terrorist to Anticipate Attacks via our Health System".

The author, Adam Gorin, MD, uses his medical experience to warn us of weaknesses in our health care system that could enable terrorist attacks by Islamic physicians. This story should be even more important in light of the recent terrorist attacks by Islamic doctors in the UK.



[I would bet my life savings that these weaknesses are not on the leftist agenda of things to change in our health care system.]

But the Washington Post has rejected a classified ad that Dr. Gorin tried to place for this book. The Post has failed to provide any explanation other than a vague reference to "content." As Debbie recommends, buy the book and boycott the Post.
