Clinton believes the war on terror to be inconsequential

NewsBusters provides this quote from Bill Clinton at Clinton's Global Initiative conference this fall.

"[W]e have become arrogant in the present. All of us. Osama bin Laden's arrogant in the present. I mean, he really thinks it matters if he blows us up and kicks a few thousand American soldiers out of Saudi Arabia or whatever. And we really think it matters if we blow him up, more than how we all live and how people will be living 100 years from now."

This is a peek into how the Clintons would treat the war on terror should they retake the White House in 2008.

Bill Clinton hopes that we never catch on to the historic nature of events now unfolding in Europe and elsewhere. Clinton hopes that we miss the fact that a millenium and a half of European history is coming to an end.

Clinton also hopes that we forget the long list of Islamic terrorist acts against the West so that the Left can continue to blame George W. Bush and the invasion of Iraq for all such prior acts.

I wonder how this "so what" meme will come into play if the stories of Al-Zarqawi's death prove to be true.

The MSM/DNC's playbook is very rich, deep and flexible. MSM/DNC will scream with rage because we haven't yet won the war, but every victory along the way is met with a ready-made "so what?" [I wonder if Howard Dean has yet figured out whether the world is safer without Saddam Hussein.]

Howard Dean lies about Kelo

Until now, I believed that Howard Dean was simply an honest lunatic. I didn't mind when he claimed to hate Republicans and "everything they stand for". I didn't mind when he stated that the GOP is the party of white, Christian males. [There are white Christian males in the GOP, thus making the intended slur less than totally false.]
I didn't mind many of his other rants, as I believed that he said what other Democrat leaders really believed but were afraid to say.

But this time, he has crossed the line from a mere lunatic to the equivalent of John Kerry, Al Gore, Hillary or Bill Clinton. He has blatantly misrepresented the Republican and Conservative position on a major issue.

Kelo is the one recent Supreme Court decision that everyone either opposes or pretends to oppose. The five most liberal Supreme Court justices - Stevens, Breyer, Ginsburg, Kennedy and Souter - stand alone. Yet the MSM/DNC has begun a subtle campaign to dissociate this decision from the left.

Howard Dean has now weighed in and that campaign of disinformation is no longer subtle:

Recently, Dr. Dean had the gall to blame President George Bush for the recent Supreme Court decision allowing a town in Connecticut to seize private homes not just for public use but for private development.

"The president and his right-wing Supreme Court think it is OK to have the government take your house if they feel like putting a hotel where your house is," Dr. Dean said. "We think that eminent domain does not belong in the private sector. It is for public use only."

Dean has now supplemented his classlessness with dishonesty.

This lie highlights the reason for coining the term MSM/DNC. The MSM could not be so blatant about the Kelo issue. Dean can be that blatant because his audience is as deranged as he is. Dean talks, and the MSM/DNC ignores him so that Dean's audience will never learn the truth. The MSM and DNC wings of the MSM/DNC thus provide a perfectly coordinated effort.
