What to expect from an Obama regime; ancient Greece; Will Durant

Numerous commentators have speculated on the effect of a Democrat landslide in this year's elections. They have identified many programs that will be created or expanded with Democrats in the White House and enjoying a filibuster proof majority in Congress. Commentators usually conclude these remarks by stating that this scenario will be bad "from a conservative standpoint."

But these commentators, even conservative commentators, miss the real point. The leftist agenda is not simply bad "for conservatives." We are not watching some sporting event where only Republicans and Democrats have a stake in the outcome. The consequences of a Democrat takeover would affect everyone - and for a very long time.

The Democrats have pledged to restrict free speech and expand existing programs that would accelerate the bankruptcy of the United States, all the while robbing us of the means to defend ourselves, protect our borders and choose our own medical providers. The Democrats have attempted to investigate, prosecute and censor innocent political opponents. The Democrats have shown no reluctance to commit violence and voter fraud in this election and the elections of 2004 - thus foreshadowing the ultimate end to free elections should these thugs ever obtain real power over the executive branch of the federal government. The Democrats have used class warfare as a political weapon - pitting rich versus poor - for decades.

All of the elements exist for the type of near civil war that marked the collapse of the ancient Greek civilization in the 3rd and 2nd centuries B.C.:

Some governments nationalized certain industries . . . . but the governments paid as low wages as the private employer, and squeezed all possible profit from the labor of their slaves . . . the class war became bitterer than before. Every city, young or old, echoed with the hatred of class for class, with uprisings, massacres, suppressions, banishments, and the destruction of property and life. When one faction won it exiled the other and confiscated its goods; when the exiles returned to power they revenged themselves in kind, and slaughtered their enemies; imagine the stability of an economic system subject to such decerebrations and disturbances. If Obama and the Democrats seize as much power as the rest of us fear, this election may be the last national election that carries even a pretext of legitimacy. Those who would rig and steal the election will not allow free elections once they seize power. Acorn and its allies cannot continue to submit thousands of frauduent registrations every year. Cheating on such a massive scale is difficult to coordinate and organize. They don't plan to cheat forever. They plan to win once in a big way, after which there will be no need to cheat. In the future, two scenarios are possible - (1) local election officials will have learned to be submissive to the Acorn/Obama controlled federal government and remain silent while election totals are rigged or (2) certain elections will simply not take place.

I do not believe all of this will happen immediately upon the inauguration of Obama. Cattle will not be grazing in the streets of Manhattan in Janaury 2009. Obama will allow a certain "healing" period where he speaks of unity and the MSM/DNC presents "feel good" images of children, puppies and general calm. We will be allowed to get comfortable. But soon, our taxes will go up, our doctors will become government bureaucrats, class warfare will resume as it has never existed before and the country will change forever.

Leftist fantasies over the assassination of Obama; Earl MacRae

The left has grown tired of fantasizing about assassinating President Bush, so their peculiar psychosis has led them to fantasize about the murder of their own beloved Barack Hussein Obama. Earl MacRae warns readers of The Ottawa Sun:

Barack Obama is waving his arms. The crowd is cheering. … I see Barack Obama, one minute smiling, the people crying his name. I see Barack Obama grab his chest and his eyes widen and his mouth opens, and the crowd screams as Barack Obama, black candidate for the presidency of the United States of America, falls to the ground, dead, an assassin's bullet inside him.

Mark Steyn mentions numerous examples of leftists advocating the assassination of President Bush. To those examples I will add Bill Maher's explanation of why the world would be better off if terrorists killed Dick Cheney and Fox Network's "Family Guy's" frequent "jokes" about the assassination of Bush, Cheney and others.

I can only conclude that the left wants to rally its followers to commit violence. The Obama assassination fantasy is meant to further that goal, as leftist readers are supposed to become outraged and commit violence of their own choosing in retaliation. The same people who want to see Bush assassinated are also hoping to see Obama assassinated, but for different reasons. The left is obsessed with the concept of political violence - even if it is their own candidates that are being assassinated.

Leftists favor assassination for the same reason they favor socialism. Both of these concepts promote chaos and destruction. The left desires the destruction of the American political system. The constant cycle of assassination and reprisal that the left craves will serve that purpose, just as greater socialist controls will serve the purpose of wrecking the economy.

In reality, the only real possibility for an Obama assassination will occur if Obama names Hillary to be his running mate - in which case Obama will be killed as soon as he takes office, after which his death will be ruled a suicide by the official inquest.

Barrack Hussein Obama - 10,000 dead in Kansas - Obama's critics miss the point.

By now we have all heard and laughed at Barrack Hussein Obama's comment that 10,000 people died this week in Kansas due to George Bush' tornados. The actual number was around 12.

But those who laugh at Barrack Hussein Obama miss the point. He may have tried to backtrack by claiming to be tired, but he never corrected himself until after that appearance and speech were over. Those who attended that speech were supporters of Barrack Hussein Obama. There were and are his allies. They already want him to be President. They have given money to his campaign. They count on receiving federal jobs/benefits/contracts/pork/preferential treatment from a Barrack Hussein Obama administration. They are already completely immunized from facts or corrections.

The people in Barrack Hussein Obama's audience now believe that 10,000 people died in Kansas. They believe it was Bush' fault. They believe only Barrack Hussein Obama (or maybe Hillary or John Edwards) can save us from more tornados. They never heard any correction. They wouldn't care even if they did.

If you could poll that same audience, they would probably say that 100,000 or more people died in New Orleans during Hurricane Katrina (I don't need to tell you who they would blame). [The actual number was around 1,000 or less].

Barrack Hussein Obama (and Hillary and John Edwards and John Murtha and Rosie O'Donnell, etc.) knows that the typical Democrat campaign audience is insane. The audience needs a steady diet of additional insanity to keep them on the reservation. The Democrats need an energized, frenzied base that will be willing to burglarize Republican campaign headquarters, assault Republican candidates and fire weapons at Republican offices. They will not do this unless they believe that tens of thousands of people are dying in Kansas, New Orleans, etc. at the hands of the Bush/Cheney/Halliburton/Rove/Hitler killing machine.

While much of the nation may be laughing at Barrack Hussein Obama, the Democrat lunatic fringe remains revved up and ready for action. Mission accomplished.
