Pennsylvania governor suppresses the military vote

There will be a rally this afternoon at the Bellevue Hotel in Philadelphia in support of the right of our troops overseas to vote in this year's election.

Thousands of Pennsylvania National Guardsmen are in harm's way in Iraq and Afghanistan. It will take time for absentee ballots to reach those troops and get back to PA. Numerous PA counties could not send out absentee ballots until this week because of the Democrat lawsuits to keep Ralph Nader off of the ballot.

Governor Rendell refuses to extend the deadline for the receipt of these ballots because he knows that the Guardsmen support Bush. He has taken this position despite having taken the opposite position in the primaries earlier this year.
Rendell is trying to suppress the military vote despite taking extra steps to insure the rights of prisoners to vote.
